Beth Flynn (PLPA Vice President) — Because of the expected unpredictable and rainy weather, the Summerfest Boat Party has been MOVED TO FRIDAY, JUNE 30th.
The first Summerfest “Floating Cocktail Party” of the 2023 boating season will be held at 5pm on June 30, 2023. Come one, come all!
We will gather in the bay approximately 1/4 of a mile from the last house on North Shore Road. Some residents know this as Cranberry Cove but oddly there are no cranberries at this cove. This is a “bring your own beverage” and appetizer to share!
We plan to lash the attending boats together so bring mooring ropes, an anchor and bumpers to protect other boats. We will have individuals to assist in the boat joining procedure who will direct boaters wanting to join the party. Remember to approach the group very slowly – ram speed not acceptable! Boat safety is a priority. Since the access between the boats is variable, the exact configuration of the joining will be determined as boats join the party.
