PECK’s LAKE – Over the past few Spring Seasons we’ve transitioned from a “Spring Clean-Up Day” where volunteers came together on one day to walk lake community roads and pick-up trash and debris, to a system where volunteers clean-up a specific portion of the road when it’s convenient for them and report back when it’s been done.
Because so many folks come back to the lake at different times, this has been working well—and we’re asking for volunteers to help complete the 2025 Spring Clean-Up!
The past few days at the lake have been pretty rainy I hear, so taking long walks along the roads probably has not been at the top of your to do list. So far Cookie Fleischut has done North Shore in its entirety, Kathy and Joe Fernandez have completed from 475 South Shore to the end and Paul Nestork typically takes care of Evergreen Drive.
That leaves a lot of the roads still to cover. We need help on: Maplewood Drive, Little Gem, Hemlock (which I accidentally omitted last email), from the South Shore mailboxes to 475 South Shore, Hohler Road just up to 188 and last, but not least, Peck’s Lake Road through to the North Shore Mailboxes.
Hopefully we will have some better weather to complete this task – if you can help please let me know what part of the clean-up you’d like to take on this season!
