By Clif Wassel (Lake Committee Chair) – Hicklings Fish Farm delivered 525 Large Mouth Bass yesterday which completed the PLPA Spring 2023 fish stocking effort. The bass were 6-8 inches each and all individuals survived the move into our Lake. Yesterday’s bill from Hicklings was $2,997.00.
Fishing equipment was banned during the fish release. A largely peaceful protest demonstration was conducted by the Small Mouth Bass Association. As usual they were protesting the introduction of the noisy Large Mouths into their Lake. The enforcers (Northern Pike) quickly subdued minor physical clashes between the two bass groups and tranquility was once again established in the Lake.
