PLPA Events Calendar 2023

The PLPA sponsors and organizes many events for lake residents – from lake improvement projects like container drives and buoy repair and placement, to social events like fireworks, Caroga Arts Music Festival, and the Summerfest.

We’re constantly updating and adding new events, so please check back from time to time. If you have an event you’d like to add, let us know by emailing us at [email protected]

Lake Improvement Events

Lake Improvement events like the container drives, lake structure improvement, and buoy maintenance are opportunities to work with other community members while making life safer and more enjoyable at the the lake. These events rely totally on volunteers, so please consider volunteering.

Social Events

The PLPA, and often in concert (literally) with the Peck Family, hosts / sponsors a number of social events throughout the year. The following are the dates (some tentative) for the 2023 Schedule of Events. Special thanks to the Peck Family for making the Marina and Picnic area available to us!

Breakfast to support the SchoolhouseThe menu includes pancakes, sausage, bacon scrambled eggs and home fries along with coffee and juice. Tickets are $10 for adults. $6 for kids 10 and under and children under 3 eat for free. There will only be 100 tickets available and can be purchased at the Marina. Takeout will be available.

GONE FISHIN GARDEN ROCK GNOME Paint, Sip N SnackInstructed by Heather Werner
$10 per person, $15 if you use a canvas I provide. I am sure many of you have suitable rocks on your property. If not I will have some rocks with me! Please make sure your rock has a flat(ish) side, is clean and dry and no smaller than 7” and no bigger than 13” on the flat painting side. I have 8×10 canvas if you would rather paint on a canvas you can hang or display inside.
Included: paint, brushes, sealer, the sip and some appetizer snacks. For more info call Heather Werner 518-248-7350 by August 10th to reserve a spot. Proceeds to the Lake Improvement Fund.
