SUMMARY:Buoy Prep - Volunteers Needed!
DESCRIPTION:It’s that time of year we’ve all been patiently waiting for.  Of course\, I mean buoy prep day.  This Saturday is  when all the hazard buoys come out of their long winter hibernation\, and get spiffed up\, painted\, repaired and readied for another summer season on the lake helping keep everyone safe.  \n\n\n\nAll of this doesn’t happen without the help of dedicated volunteers.  Lots of tasks are available from helping and carrying\, sorting\, painting\, knot tying\, replacing anchors\, assembly of parts\, as well as supervisory roles with clipboards checking that all are present\, lined up in order and ready for deployment in the following week.  No previous experience required \n\n\n\nAll this “fun” takes place this Saturday\, May 10th starting at 10:00 a.m. at the Marina lower barn and usually lasts about 2 hours. \n\n\n\nPlease come out and join us.   Any questions feel free to contact me.  \n\n\n\nThank in advance for your help and cooperation. \n\n\n\nJohn–  \n\n\n\nJohn Dackow \n\n\n\nPLPA  \n\n\n\njdack.plpa@gmail.com \n\n\n\n518-858-0217

DESCRIPTION:IMPORTANT: DOCKS IN BEGINNING MONDAY\, MAY 5th \n\n\n\nTim Alteri has notified the PLPA that he will begin putting the docks back in the lake on Monday\, May 5th. Tim has asked me to remind everyone—again—to pay his invoice UPON RECIEPT! Tim has told me that some of the invoices are not getting paid until July\, and some not until September\, for the work done in early May. It has become a big enough problem for Tim that if you are not paid in full\, Tim will NOT REMOVE YOUR DOCK IN THE FALL. \n\n\n\nWe are lucky to have Tim installing and removing the docks. It’s hard work and Tim must pay his employees and his expenses. DESCRIPTION:Come help make our first container drive of the season a success. PLEASE have your empties out by the road by 8am on Monday morning. It’s a big help if you pre-sort your empties (glass\, plastic\, aluminum) — and PLEASE rinse them out! \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nWe can always use an extra pair of hands and volunteers are always welcome. Meet us at at the Marina Tent at 9am.
